Bruce Experiences Expeditions: Behind the Scenes with Luc Hardy Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with explorer and documentary filmmaker Luc Hardy who retraced the course of Ernest Shackleton’s 1914 expedition to Antarctica. Hardy will share his latest adventures, and the process of creating his films, in a special live virtual event.
Viewers will be treated to teaser clips from the upcoming documentaries Sargassum about the marine life of the Sargasso Sea, and Clonimal, a look at animal cloning. Best of all, participants will have the chance to discuss exploration, discovery, and filmmaking live with Luc Hardy. Sponsored by Bank of America. To date, he has walked nearly 125 miles to the North Pole, climbed the highest mountain in Antarctica, and used a bathyscaphe — a self-propelled submersible — to explore the seabed off the island of Klein Curaçao in the Caribbean. Confined at his home in Greenwich, Connecticut, he looks back on these extraordinary adventures.
